Date: 10/09/2026 Length: 00:54:59
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (00:01)
Welcome everybody. And Susan and I are delighted that you're all with us on the Rabbi Daniel Lapin show, where we have the unusual opportunity today to talk to Pastor Larry Huch based in Dallas, but really an international personality. And so welcome, Pastor Larry. We are absolutely thrilled, grateful that you agreed to spend some time with us today. Thank you.
Pastor Larry Huch (00:26)
Well, I know you're supposed to say nice things at this point. What an honor it is to be with you guys, but it really is. And I want everybody to know that Rabbi is my rabbi. And I want everybody to know that Susan is as spiritual and as as intelligent as Rabbi is. And if you get to listen to either one of them speak, you need to take I've got every one of their books. I was gonna put them out, but I hid them because that everybody knows where. When I say ancient Jewish wisdom says now they'll know where it came from. And so it really we've been friends, guys, for what, over thirty or thirty years, and a major
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (01:02)
A long time. Many years.
Pastor Larry Huch (01:05)
part of my journey has been because of you two. So it really is an honor to be with you guys.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (01:12)
So for the two or three of you in the audience who may not yet have heard of Pastor Larry Huch, Larry Huch has been at the forefront of Jewish Christian relations in America. he's been at the forefront of driving connection and support for Israel within America's Christian community. and you've been a pioneer, and like all pioneers, you've got your fair share of arrows. The you just met with Prime Minister Netanyahu during his brief visit to Washington, D.C. your finger is really on the pulse of things, and so I wanted to start off by asking you are you feeling a concern today? that you maybe didn't feel twenty years ago? or is this a uniquely Jewish sensitivity? Are we sort of hypersensitive to subtle changes in the climate? Or is it significant enough that you are bothered as well? And if so, what do you see happening?
Pastor Larry Huch (02:32)
No, Rabbi, I'm more than a little concerned. I'm greatly concerned. You know, what we had a meeting at DC with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and he emphasized over and over again when you're dealing with Islam, when you're dealing with Iran, Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah, on and on, you're when the when these people say we want to kill you. Prime Minister said, you need to take this serious. And I think Americans are pretty mostly pretty naive about the strategy that Islam has in coming in. They want to take over this world. We they just passed here in the Dallas area yesterday, a Islamic center, and the leader of that Islamic center,
There are ideas that he's linked to radical groups. He has made statements that he wants to bring in about Sharia law, and they have a strategy. They want to come into an area, take it over, run for politics it over, and Americans need to wake up. Not only American Christians, but Americans need to wake up. Iran says and Islam says that Israel is the small Satan. America is the great Satan. And you know, Rabbi, when I was sitting with Prime Minister, I told him, I said, listen, I was I was in Israel. I went to Israel right after October 7th. I first plane going in, I got to be on it and go in there. And I sat with Prime Minister, I sat with Ron Dermer, I sat with other officials.
And Rabbi and Susan, I saw the videos of what Hamas did to men, women, and children. Things that the public has never seen. And I and I think that was a mistake. I think the public is as brutal, as inhumane as I think we should have seen more so that that would because once you see what they did to human beings, you never lose it. And I said, I'm always been afraid. That the further we get away from October 7th, the more we're gonna forget. But what a lot of people don't understand is after October 7th, on October 8th, there were orchestrated demonstrations all over the world on October 8th, blaming Israel, saying Israel did it, saying Israel did it themselves. That's why I went over and I went over and filmed it.
And now these same people with the same mindset are moving into our country, taking over political positions. And I and I told prime minister, I said, My son and my grandson, right down the road from our church, right down the it right here in Dallas, their neighborhood is now. I I think he said there's three families that are not Muslim.
And they were have the Muslims are having a party in the park there. He went up and he was talking to one of the men, and the guy said, Well, we're not radical Islam. We're just normal Islam. We're not radical Islam. But then he said, until it comes to Israel, and it comes to Zionists. And what he's saying is, and everybody needs to hear this, is we will be and he said, when it comes to Israel and Zionists, we will fight.
So he's talking about Israel. Okay, we okay, we understand. But when he says Zionists, he's talking about Christians. So what we need to understand is that the same enemy that attacked Israel and attacks Israel continually, but attacked Israel on October 7th, that same enemy is now living in the United States, and we need to wake up. You know, I tell my congregation, I tell our television audience, just because I'm a pastor, doesn't limit from what I can say. I can say anything I want from the pulpit. I can't say you can't go to this church if I don't say so I tell our people it we got midterms coming up. And you need to let every politician know that we are not voting for you. If you're in office, we're gonna vote you out of office. If you're running for office, We're not gonna let you get that position unless you are standing up against radical Islam, unless you're standing for the nation of Israel, because this is more serious, I believe, Rabbi, than people understand here in America.
Susan Lapin (07:30)
And are you seeing, because you have a large church multi-generational, you also have it's multi, it's very diverse in terms of people's race, ethnicity, economic levels. It's an amazing church. Are you finding though a generational divide between what are people's grandchildren?
Pastor Larry Huch (07:51)
Yeah. Well, you know, Susan, that's interesting because we've never seen that before. You know, I think when we started this, we said, are we seeing things that have changed would have been different 20 years ago? We're seeing things change that would have been different two or three years ago. And where that generational divide is coming about is we have people like Tucker Carlson, we have people like Candace Owens, we have people, you know, that's why I usually wear a usually wear a shirt and tie, but I wanted to wear the t-shirt that I wear everywhere from Israel to America, because somebody said if I'm a Christian Zionist, then I have a disease in my mind. Well, I want everybody to know I am a Christian Zionist. I have that disease, it's terminal and it's contagious, and I'm spreading it every day as much as I can around the world. Because what guys like Tucker Carlson and people like Candace Owens and these people are doing, is they're trying to divide the younger generation, the Republican Party. They're trying to divide them because the evangelicals are the power of the vote of the evangelicals is what got President Trump in in office. And they're trying to divide that on the issue of Israel, on the issue of Zionism and they're using scripture totally out of context, totally wrong. and it's confusing the younger generation. I just got invited to I just did about two months ago I did a conference for world peace in Abu Dhabi and I was the only Christian that was there. And that was Susan that was their main concern is how do we keep the younger generation from being poisoned by this false narrative? And then I did a conference, JS conference in Jerusalem, what a couple weeks ago. And that was a big issue there, too, is this next generation. And I just sat with I just had some folks from Israel over to the house for dinner Sunday after our church service.
And we talked about that. How do we got to come up with a strategy now, right now, we can't wait to educate the younger generation because they're getting a lot of false bad information from a lot of these podcasts.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (10:29)
One of the things that they've done is they they've changed language. You know, you've been in Israel many times. The idea of it being an apartheid state is ridiculous unless you change the definition of the word apartheid. The idea of genocide is ridiculous unless you change the definition of the word genocide. But I can honestly understand that if you are a young person and you're hearing and this is all you're hearing, and you're a good person, then you are going to say this is a terrible country. And you're not going to understand that this is the wedge in the door, that if Israel disappeared tomorrow, Islam would not say, now we can be friendly. Now we don't have to now take over the United States of America or Europe. It would just be, well, you got rid of the main, you got rid of the garrison that's standing and blocking us from the rest of the world. Now we get to really go after you.
Pastor Larry Huch (11:17)
Yeah, that's exactly right. And you know, I when where I was over there a couple of weeks ago for the JNS conference, I had a great interview with Ambassador Mike Huckabee. Mike's a great, great friend. And boy, what a friend to Israel Mike Huckabee is and what a what a bold man to stand up. And I said, Mike, this isn't about land, is it? This isn't about borders, is it?
Or Mr. Ambassador, this isn't about land or this is about borders. And he said, Larry, this is a spiritual war. This is not, you know, and think about, you know, when President Trump was in office the first time and he was getting ready to run again, I was invited to come to D.C. and there was a small panel of about five or six pastors there. And We sat with Jason Greenblatt. Remember Jason Greenblatt, President Trump's advisor? And he said, We're coming up with we're gonna announce a new peace plan in for Israel tomorrow, but we kind of wanted to hear if you guys had anything to say. We it's pretty much sealed in concrete. And so he asked Pastor John Hagee, who's a just a great advocate for Israel, and John gave him all the obviously all the biblical reasons to standing with Israel.
And he said, Well, Pastor Larry, what do you think? And I said, let me just suggest we address this in a different way. if we come up with a new peace plan, and that even hints at a two state solution, I said the evangelicals won't vote Democrat, but they may stay home, which is why I'm concerned about the midterms coming up and how we're, you know, we're giving Iran the fourteenth last chance to stop bombing everybody. And he said, So what what's your suggestion? Because I know they wanted to make a statement for evangelicals. And I said, I would suggest that president announces America's standing with Israel, that Israel has sovereign rights over the Golan Heights. And so he said, No land for peace. And I said, Well, we gave them Gaza. And look what they did with Gaza. And who would have thought? Rabbi and Susan, who would have thought we would have seen come out of Gaza what we saw come out of Gaza on October seventh? And so if we give them parts of Judea and Samaria and which which includes a lot of Christians don't understand, includes all the holy sites of Jerusalem, if we give that away, if we think what happened in October seventh is bad, we're really, really fooling ourselves. And so, this is, you know, in both conferences in Abu Dhabi and in Jerusalem, the theme kept coming up. We have three years. We have three years that we better put the pedal to the metal and make a difference. Well, with the midterms coming, we need to pray with the midterms coming up. If we don't win these midterms, then the next two years is just gonna be a lame duck White House. And so we need to understand and I hope nobody takes this wrong. I was at a Shabbat dinner with some wonderful Jewish people in Los Angeles, but very liberal. And these subjects came up and one rabbi said, Well, we just need to pray. And I said, and everybody, you know, I was the only Tiz and I were and Katie were the only Gentile table. They all looked at us and I go, Rabbi, with all due respect, we got to do more than pray. Yeah, we got to pray. And I don't want anybody to misunderstand me. Yes, we've got to pray, but we've got to speak up loud, we've got to be bold, whether it's from our pulpits or whether it's from our jobs or whether it's at the voting booth, this is crucial time. There is a strategy, Islam.
Has a patient strategy to take over our nation. And if we just sit back and pray, you know, they didn't pray when the walls of Jericho came down. Matter of fact, God said, walk around and keep your mouth shut. Just do what I tell you to do. David didn't just pray when Goliath went down. We need to partner together, Jews and Christians. You know, I say this a lot, and I'm taking poetic liberty. The Bible says a three stranded cord is not easily broken. And if I could take poetic liberty in that, I think that three stranded cord, guys, right now, is Jews, Christians, and God coming together and standing up for what is right and what is righteous.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (16:20)
Pastor Larry, let me play the role of an ordinary American who might say to you, you know, Pastor Larry, I've worshipped at your church a few times and I like it very much. But to tell you the truth, I've never been to the Middle East. I don't know who's telling the truth about Israel are they committing a genocide or are they themselves the subjects of attempts to exterminate them? But that's not my interest. My interest is that America should go well and that I should be able to keep my job and that my taxes shouldn't go up. And I'm all I'm hearing now is about Israel and about this and about that. surely we've had other immigrant groups to America. We've had the Germans and the Irish and all kinds of people have come to America, the Italians, and everybody's been fine. Let's just leave Israel out of it. And then the mayor of New York and the guy who's likely to be the next senator from Michigan and the existing Muslims in Congress are just gonna be like all other ethnic groups that have come to America and eventually integrated.
Aren't you making too much? Isn't it time for us to sort of back off? Israel is a sovereign country, let them do what they have to do, but we've got to worry about America.
Pastor Larry Huch (17:57)
Yeah, well, one way to approach this, and I actually talked to a pastor about that, and he kind of said that same thing is well, we've always had immigrants coming in. But the immigrants we had coming in, whether they're Irish or German or whoever they were coming in, they wanted to be part of the American dream. They wanted to be a part of America. Let us be Americans. The Islam that's coming in are saying we're gonna change America. We wanna destroy the American dream. And that's not some of us being fanatical about it. Listen to what they say. I I've got I've got on my laptop a recording from an imam of Florida, and he said, We're gonna take over every Christian church, we're gonna take over every Christian school, then we're gonna take over the government of Florida.
And then we're gonna do this around America and create Sharia law. And so we've got to understand that, yeah, and you know what? America welcomes immigrants. My church is full of people that speak another language. I've got people that speak Spanish, I've got people that speak Russian, I've got people that speak Hungarian, I've got people that are from all over the world, literally, all England, South Africa. And they want to be a part of the American dream. They don't want to destroy the American dream. And that's the goal of Islam. Listen, I don't care what you want to be. You want to be a Muslim? Be a Muslim. But don't be a Muslim that wants to kill me. Because I love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And that's the difference. And I think, you know, I've been to Israel, Rabbi Susan, you I've been to Israel fifty-one times now. And I have friends there that are Arab, that are Muslim. I when I'll tell you something. I went to Abu Dhabi and I saw something, Rabbi and Susan, that I if you'd have told me I'd have said you're lying or you're exaggerating. I saw Muslims and Jews and Hindus and Christians all getting together and getting along. I sat at I had dinner at a sheikh's house, you know, the number two guy. And he said, on October eighth, the headman called all the other seven together, and he said to him, He said, You go to every Jewish community and tell them they will be safer here. Than anywhere else in the world. And here's my phone number. Anything looks bad, call me. And this rabbi said he calls every week to see how we're doing. This other sheikh said he was sent to high schools and he said, You talk to every high school principal and tell them we will not allow Jewish hate, we will not allow anti Semitism in social in any way.
And so we could see people that okay, we believe different, but that doesn't mean we have to kill each other. That means we have we have to hate each other. The just like that Muslim man who's with his family and 150 other Muslims having a party and a picnic in the park. Well, we're not violent until it comes to Israel and Zionists. And what we need to understand is, and you know, I don't hate anybody. I don't hate I've had tea with Arabs and Muslims in Israel many times, and we're friends. But when you want to come to our country and bring about Sharia law and change our country, maybe you ought to just stay home. An American needs to wake up to realize. That these guys may put on suits and they may say the right things, but they have an agenda.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (22:12)
So how do you distinguish between those Arabs you're talking about, those Muslims in Abu Dhabi and what how are we supposed to distinguish and know who we can say, yes, we're happy to welcome you to America? And who is a dangerous, basically coming in as a dangerous person trying to destroy America? Because as you say, they all speak, and right now the language is, we love Jews, we just don't like Netanyahu, or we just don't like Israel. And you know that's not where it's gonna end up. That's a you know, a fake thing.
Pastor Larry Huch (22:47)
Yeah, she's an and being anti-Israel, anti-Zionist is the new anti Semitic. But what's happening, and of course you guys know it far better than I do, is I think using the term anti-Semitic is has become the dripping faucet. We don't hear it anymore. It's literally Jewish hatred. And it's literally a spiritual thing.
That if we hate the Jews, we hate the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and we hate the Christian God because the Christian God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I'll tell you a story. we were we were sponsoring a plane last year from France of Olim, of Jewish people making Aliyah to Israel. And so we went to France and to fly with them on the plane. So we sponsored the plane, brought them in. But I wanted to go a few days early and I wanted to see what it's like to be a Jew in France. Susan, I was standing, sitting in a restaurant, Tiz and Katie and I, and Pastor Scott and some of us, and this lady walks by, looks at us. Katie had her Magen David on or Star of David on, and this lady just burst into tears. And she said, She looks at us and she goes, I can't tell you how that makes me feel. She said, it's the first time I've seen a Star of David wore in public in five years. And we were we were remember that shop in France where they a grocery store, a Jewish grocery store, and they took it over and they killed those Jewish people? Well, on the anniversary of that date, which was two days before we got there, they firebombed that. And so we said, I said, Well, let's get some footage of this. I want to s show this Jewish hatred that is, that the you know we're bringing planes and planes and planes loads of Jews out of Paris. This is where the Louvre is, this is where the Eiffel Tower is. Paris is most people's bucket list. And Jews are fleeing literally for their lives. And people don't understand. So I said, I want to get a picture of this. So we were setting up our cameras and car after car going by on the street. They didn't know who we were. We just had television cameras.
They're shouting death to the Jews, death to Israel, death to the Zionists, car after car going by. And this one lady that was showing us around, she said, Well, it's not too bad as long as you don't provoke them. And I said, Define provoke. They said, Well, it's not too bad if you don't wear a yarmulke, if you don't wear a Star of David.
If you don't have a prayer book. And I said, that's unacceptable. That's unacceptable. Can you imagine if Jews were attacking or Christians were attacking Muslims because they're coming out of their. You know, a friend of ours was walking into a synagogue in in a in a country in Europe, and the police saw him on the corner, and he says, You're kippah, your Yamaka. And he goes, No, I got it on. He goes, Yeah, take it off until you get in.
This is worldwide. This Jewish hatred is worldwide. And now these same people are and you know everybody says Europe's lost. Well, God can do anything. God can snap his finger, the Red Sea can part, God can do anything. But these same people that are continually bringing about acts of violence, these same people
are coming into our country. And I think we need to listen to what their Imams are saying, their pastors are saying, and realize that if and I and I think we need to make a stand. You know, what would the media do if I got up and preached against black people or preach against Mexican people or preached against anybody? Just preach hatred. What would what would the media do? What would our government do? And I think we need to understand that
If these guys are coming to our country and preaching hatred, I think we need to be bold enough to say, you know what, we really don't want you here.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (27:11)
Pastor Larry, Susan, if you'll excuse me one second. is your feeling that what you saw in France a harbinger for where we're headed, or do you think we've perhaps reached a high point of unpleasantness and Jewish hatred and Israel hatred, and that things are now going to be on the improving, in other words
Are we do you anticipate things getting worse in America or better?
Pastor Larry Huch (27:44)
Yeah, I think it's gonna get worse unless we stand up and make our voices very loud. we hold our politicians their feet to the fire and make them stand up and be very loud. you know, here in Texas, they years ago they tried to get the BDS movement bill passed. And our church and other a bunch of people, Tiz and Katie went down.
met with the governor and the governor said we will not have that here. you know, what was it? Is it Holland that just passed the law that goes in effect? I think is it Holland or one of the somewhere over there that goes in effect next week that if you buy anything, any product from the West Bank or the settlements, you'll be arrested.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (28:40)
I didn’t know that.
Pastor Larry Huch (28:40)
I don't think I - You know, Rabbi, you know me. I'm the guy that's always the glasses half full. It's gonna get better. And but I'm concerned that are we gonna are we gonna have to have an incident. you know I spoke on a television program several months ago, and well it's them against Islam against the Jews.
But in Europe on Christmas pageants, they drive trucks through the Christmas pageants and run over women and children. I pray that we don't have to get there. I pray that we get bold enough. And you know, I pray that every pastor will get up in his congregation and stand up against Jewish hate, stand up against anti Semitism, stand up for the nation of Israel and tell his people. You know, we do we do a voter's list and we say, here's who I can't tell you who you should vote for, but here's who I'm voting for, and here's their stance on these issues. And if we if we do that, we can rein it back in. But if we don't, you know, I'm praying that it's not another 9/11 before it gets everybody everybody's attention. But they have a goal. They're not sitting back. They have a plan. And so we need to be, you know, we're always, though the Christians are the Christians are the silent majority. Well, we need to become the loud majority standing up with our Jewish brothers and sisters, not just in Israel, but all over. I'll tell you this real quick. And we can make a difference. I was invited to speak to a very liberal, wealthy Hollywood Jewish group.
And I mean everybody that spoke before me was like I'm like, holy cow, what am I doing here? And when I got up and finished, the man it was an outdoor kind of a private thing, 60 people, very wealthy, Hollywood influential people. And when I got when I was finished speaking, Rabbi, the wife and the husband said, Pastor Larry's right. We cannot be neutral in this. We cannot just, you know. It's I think we're I think we're at the point where a lot of l let's say Jewish people thought in thirty-six and thirty-seven it can't get any worse. You know, if we just assimilate. And I think a lot of Christians are thinking that, well, we'll just assimilate. They have no interest in in us assimilating. They have an interest in Islam ruling the world, they're partnering with people who call themselves Christians that can be bribed or paid off or influenced. And so those of us I just met with leaders from Israel yesterday or Monday Sunday, and I said, let's pray. God give us more ways that we can speak up. Give us more. My daughter Katie, you know, she's very vocal. She's very in tune with that. They're looking at her and this beautiful Jewish influencer doing a podcast together. We need to do whatever we can to make our voices heard and to educate people because most people don't. I had one pastor, this will blow your mind. I had one pastor say, well why don't we just give the Palestinians the West Bank and let the Jews have Judea and Samaria? And I thought of Vince Lombardi meeting with his team. This is a football. And I think the next thing they're gonna be pushing in the political agenda is a two state solution and that's
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (32:32)
That died on October seventh.
Pastor Larry Huch (32:34)
Yeah, in Israel it's died. I think we have American politicians that are gonna are gonna try to push that, but we need to stand up for Israel.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (32:41)
Pastor Larry, you have enormous numbers of friends and enthusiasts in Israel and today in in many parts of the American Jewish community. you've received awards so many for the things that you've done. have you also experienced anything negative or any pushback here in America because of your positions? Not that it would make any difference, because I know that you are one of the most courageous men I know. But have you ever experiences have you had anybody come up to you and say, you know what, you should cool it a little bit?
Susan Lapin (33:21)
Well, can I just add to that? It's really the charge of dual loyalty. In other words, you're an American, you should care about America.
Pastor Larry Huch (33:27)
Yeah, well, you know, caring about Israel is caring for America. And I say I've been saying this before October seventh, but Susan, especially after October seventh, the enemy that Israel is fighting, they're fighting for us. They're not just fighting for Israel or for the Jewish people. They are fighting for us. And yeah, we've had to unfortunately, a lot of people stay home from church and watch us on screen because they're concerned about safety in the church. We've had a increase a lot of our police security in the church. We're unfortunately getting ready to install metal detectors and put things out in front of the church. here at the house we've had to install security gates and cameras and stuff. But you know what? It I don't care. I mean I care about our people. God will keep us safe. But you know the only way a bully wins is you let be a bully. And we're not gonna we're not gonna back off. Sam Grundwerg, who's the world chairman of Karen HaYesod, told a story in church Sunday that a couple years ago, right in fact it was the March of the Living from Auschwitz to Birkenau.
Right after October 7th. It's first one after October 7th. And Rabbi, I was walking with Rabbi Lau. We were showing a Jew and a rabbi and a pastor in unity. And for anybody that doesn't know, there's like 10,000 Jews that show up and a couple of us evangelicals. And all of a sudden we're halfway between Auschwitz and Birkenau.
And this big not big, but 50 people demonstration, Palestinian flags, death to the Jews. And Sam said, next thing I knew, Pastor Larry's running towards those people. And he goes, then I look at his daughter running towards those people. we're not going to be intimidated. We're not going to back down. Someday we're all going to stand before God. And he's going to ask, did we do what he asked us to do? Did we did we tikunolam? Did we help make the world a better place? And so every American needs to understand standing up for Israel is standing up for America. And you know, it's you know, so many times Tiz is on the friends on the phone with our friends in in Israel, all through Israel. And for the last several years they've spent most of their nights in bomb shelters.
Americans can't understand what that is like. Their kids getting on buses, they can't understand what that is like. And you know, I I've I had people I've been to Israel 51 times. We're getting ready to set up another tour. People ask me, what's your favorite part? You know, is it the cotel? Is it Tiberias? Is it Masada? And I love all of those. I love all of those. But a few years ago, I was standing on a hill, and the governor of Judea and Samaria was showing me the military strategic reasons why we can't give up Judea and Samaria. You know, a plane flew right over us. Wow, that's well, that's the that's the airport. It's a rifle shot away. And and but he had this this rabbi that was a scholar. And he could tell this wasn't moving me. And he said, Pastor, he said, there's Joseph's tomb right there. See that building right there? And I go, Wait, wait, where are we? Is that is this where God said, I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you? And he goes, right here, we're on the mount of blessing. That barren mountain is the mount of the curse. And I go, that's the Avos, Avot (father) of all blessings. That's what brings the blessing. I will bless those who bless Israel. And I'll curse those who curse Israel. And I said, I knew it was said, but I never thought it was said at a certain place. That's Judea and Samaria. There's nowhere in the Bible it's called the West Bank. There's never been a Palestinian state. That is the land of Israel.
And so I was I got so excited, I started like, oh my gosh. And these ultra-orthodox Jews started walking towards one guy, Rabbi, he was like seven foot tall. And these are settlers. And I had Josh Reinstein with me, and he knew these guys. And he said, these he said, I saw them coming, and I thought, we're gonna get in a fist fight because these guys hated Jews working with evangelicals, and they're coming at us. And but I didn't know who they were. I'm going, do you understand? This is where God said those words. This is where Shiloh right up around the corner, you know, and I'm all excited. And when I was done, that seven foot Orthodox Jew grabbed me and lift me up and started dancing with me and stuff. And before
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (38:54)
Yeah.
Pastor Larry Huch (38:55)
we knew it, we found out it was spread all over Judea and Samaria. And that's the power of us standing together.
And I think educating people is key to people knowing the truth, because that truth that we understand will set us free.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (39:12)
At Genesis 12:3, I will bless those that bless Israel. what does blessing Israel translate to for Americans today?
Pastor Larry Huch (39:23)
Well, you know, one thing and American evangelicals have always, you know, the known that we're to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. But you know, and I believe that a thousand percent. I just did we're doing a thing on October fourth. hopefully millions and millions of Christians getting together. I just did a an advertisement for it or whatever you want to call it. I was asked to do it. And so we need to pray for Israel.
But I think we also need to bless Israel in through our voting, what politicians we put in office, who's having a say in in our country concerning Israel. And I think we need to bless Israel. You know, we try to do as many mitzvahs as we can for the nation of Israel, whether it's like right now we're sponsoring
I think it's 2,500 children at a at a camp for the week that went through October 7th. And and you know, you know, if anybody's ever been in Israel, I'm sure they've been to Yad Vashem. And one of the most moving things at Yad Vashem is the children's memorial, you know, where you walk through and they're saying the names. But right before you walk in, as you guys know very well.
There's a statue on there and it says, Those who save one life, God sees it as if you save the whole world. And so every time I go to Israel, I pray, God, give me, tell me what what's the next way we can bless the people of Israel that are going through. Whether it's Holocaust, we're getting ready for the holidays to do feeding programs for Holocaust survivors because
They need the food. And so we're always looking for ways to do that. And I got a secret. We have a scripture and I get we we have people from all over the world that that help us do this. I don't do it. I we get the credit, but it's the people that do it. Just the grandmas and the grandpas and etc. And but there's a secret scripture that says where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. And so when we get people to
Take their treasure and put it into the lives of the people of Israel, God will take their heart for the people and the land of Israel also. And I think as just as powerful as you're standing in line at Starbucks, and you hear somebody say something that's anti-Semitic, don't get angry, don't get upset, but be bold enough to say, excuse me, I was standing in Starbucks.
And these two guys were talking, and they could tell I was listening. They turned around and said, if it wasn't for these Jews, and I said, Really? Can you give me some statistics on that? Can you give me some facts? And I said, Because here's the and they go, We never heard it that way. And so it's just as important for us to say what we say on podcasts or television or at the voting booth, but in your schools, train your children up. Train your children up. We're getting ready to.
set up a program to bring young people from America to Israel to work in a kibbutz half a day and help repair kibbutz, but then go be taught at spiritual sites. And so I think every way we can we need to
re educate people and get them involved with the land of Israel.
Susan Lapin (43:12)
Where do you see the connection the socialism has come in? In other words, it's truly a wedge issue, the socialism. We basically set up, we destroyed history. We stopped teaching kids history. So we have a generation, two generations
Pastor Larry Huch (43:25)
Yeah, yeah.
Susan Lapin (43:26)
know history. And now there's this wonderful, great idea. Hey, are you paying too much at the supermarket? We have this great solution. It's socialism. It so happens that the socialism goes along with hating Jews. It's I mean that that's exactly what the Democrat Socialists of America are. Those are their two platforms. Hate Jews and or hate Israel, which is hating Jews.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (43:48)
Well part of that question is socialism. How come they're bonding so effectively with the radical Muslim community? You know how how can a the essential philosophy of democratic socialism is godlessness. It's
Pastor Larry Huch (44:03)
Right.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (44:04)
humanism it's a human design of society, not God's design.
Pastor Larry Huch (44:08)
Absolutely.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (44:09)
Muslims who believe in a religious structure. How are these people unified in American politics today?
Pastor Larry Huch (44:18)
Well, you know, I think and this goes for politicians, it goes for business people, it goes for preachers, it goes for anybody. Can you be bought off? Can you be can you be bought off? Can you be swayed by somebody paying you s some money? And so I think we have you know, I'm a I'm a big fan of Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is a really good friend of mine. Had a great interview with him in in Israel a couple of weeks ago.
And but years and years ago, Tiz and I were having lunch with him, and he said, a lot of people come to Washington and they want to make a difference. But one day they wake up and they're looking in the mirror and they go, you know what? I got a really good gig here. What do I have to do to hold on to it? And so if you have if you have no morals and you have no scruples, and a foreign nation comes in, a Muslim nation or whatever comes in and says, listen, we'll filter funds to your campaign, to, to you. I mean, how do some how do some of these does nobody ask questions? How do some of these politicians come in that one day they were a barmaid and two or three years later they're millionaires? Do the math. Where's this where's this money coming from? You look at some of these podcasters, and all of a sudden they've switched to being anti-Israel. they're not Republicans anymore, but they're building houses in some of these Muslim countries. You know, I think you have to follow the money. And I think some of these politicians don't give a hoot about America, about us, about people. They all they care about is themselves and power. But I think they're, you know, we were talking about this the other day. We have a scripture that says that in the end times the world will be given over to a reprobate mind. And I'm thinking, d do you not know that these people will kill you also? Yeah, I can remember right after October 7th, there was a big rally. Pro-Palestinian rally in in London, I believe it was, somewhere in England, and a bunch of gay and transvestites joined the rally and the pro-Palestinian people turned around and beat him up. Don't you don't you understand? Well and you know, Rabbi and Susan, maybe you maybe I can ask you a question. Why in the world did some of these people in New York vote for this guy when common - The smallest amount of common sense is he hates you. And this is this the time of the reprobate mind?
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (47:13)
we've been dealing with this for decades, which is that for many Americans of Jewish ancestry, their value system is not rooted in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but it's rooted in the in the Marxist dialectic and the vision of socialism. That's an old, old problem.
Among your many friends, you you've got so many Jewish friends around the world. In let's say a Jewish friend, a man in Dallas, comes to you and says, Pastor Larry, we've known you for years, we trust you. My wife and I, we got three children, little kids, we're raising them here in Dallas. But we have a simple question for you, and that is, should we begin to be thinking about leaving America? Is it time for us to think of leaving?
Pastor Larry Huch (48:05)
You know, that's a two edged sword. We just talked about that with some Jewish friends in in DC when I was there with Prime Minister. on one hand, a lot of my Jewish friends believe that every Jewish man, woman, and child will make aliyah. others believe, yeah, we'll all make aliyah, but that will be after Moshiach. And I would and and Boy, it's hard for me to give somebody an advice because I'm not being threatened because I'm walking down the street with a kippah on. But my thing
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (48:42)
Well, you're walking down the street with a Christian Zionist shirt on.
Pastor Larry Huch (48:45)
That's right. That's right. And I would I would I would say let's not let you know and I don't wanna I don't wanna counter anybody who says everybody needs to make aliyah, but I would say let's not run. Let's instead of running, let's join together. Now I wouldn't belittle anyone who says
I'm moving to Israel, I'm moving my family to Israel. I think that's a marvelous thing. We're helping we're helping every month. We partner with Karen Heazot for plane loads. I think b from Ukraine and Russia we help bring seventy five thousand Jews to Israel to make aliyah. And I think that's a very positive thing to strengthen. But
To be a little selfish a little bit. I'm hoping my Jewish brothers and sisters here in America. I got so many Jewish friends that have left Canada and moved, moved to Dallas here and moved to Florida. Great. I mean, really wonderful Jewish people. And I'm I'll be a little selfish. I'm saying stand with us, don't leave us, you know.
We you know, if we can be that three stranded cord, I think we can win this thing.
Susan Lapin (50:12)
Well, we certainly appreciate you and Pastor Tiz and Katie and your entire team. And we've always felt the privilege of standing shoulder to shoulder together with you and your family, in defense of America and of Israel.
Pastor Larry Huch (50:30)
Well, we love you guys and you know how I depend on your you guys, your friendship and your wisdom. And I'm just gonna tell everybody and it'll ruin me because people think, Wow, where do you get this Jewish wisdom? If you haven't got rabbi's books, you need to you need to get because you -
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (50:49)
Thank you.
Pastor Larry Huch (50:51)
wanna know where I get the Jewish wisdom? a lot of 90% of it right there. But Rabbi and Susan, you guys number one, you need to come back to Dallas. I know you're so busy, but please come back to Dallas. Everybody's always asking
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (51:01)
We'd love to. We'd love that. We love being in Dallas.
Pastor Larry Huch (51:05)
for you. But if there's anything we can do to stand with you and stand with Israel and the Jewish people, this is our family's mission in life. This is what God has called us to do.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (51:16)
Yeah, we know. We know
that. And if there's anything Susan and I can do to be helpful and supportive to you and your work, you know that we're just a phone call
Pastor Larry Huch (51:26)
Can I push my new book?
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (51:28)
we'd love that. Yeah, of course.
Pastor Larry Huch (51:30)
I don't know if I you've seen it. It's called From Junkie to Jerusalem.
Susan Lapin (51:34)
I have not only seen it, I've read it. I loved it.
Pastor Larry Huch (51:37)
And you're still willing to talk to me? My neighbors
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (51:39)
It's amazing. No, it's
Pastor Larry Huch (51:41)
my neighbors read it and they go, you know, just you being in the neighborhood now has dropped property prices. You know, I gave this to when I gave this to Prime Minister Netanyahu, we spoke on anti-Semitism about six months ago, and they said he was an avid reader. So he said, I heard you got a new book. When we ran into him in DC last Wednesday. He walks up and he says, Pastor Larry, he goes, I've finished your book. It's awesome. He said, Pablo Escobar, man, I'm glad you're on our side. And he goes,
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (52:12)
Ha ha ha.
Pastor Larry Huch (52:13)
another one. I need to read another one. So From Junkie to Jerusalem. It and and just to tell your people, it reads more like a kind of like a novel type of thing instead of you know lessons and stuff. Huh?
Susan Lapin (52:26)
It's very readable. It just pulls you along.
Pastor Larry Huch (52:29)
every interview I've done, we've had people say, This needs to be a Netflix or this needs to be a a movie or something and and so
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (52:36)
I found it to be incredibly inspirational really because basically what it says is, you know what, I can also change my life. I can do more than I'm
Pastor Larry Huch (52:46)
Absolutely.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (52:47)
doing. Yeah.
Pastor Larry Huch (52:48)
Well, and that was the purpose of writing it is to tell people, no, you know, I was a heroin addict, I was a drug dealer, and I get to talk with people like you guys on a podcast. How does that happen? Only God. But it's not just loving God, it's loving God's people. And I believe a big I believe Tiz is alive. I believe my grandson, who they gave no chance to live, is alive because of standing with Israel. It's
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (53:18)
I remember when Lion was in trouble. Yeah.
Pastor Larry Huch (53:22)
just to let everybody know, my grandson had a rare form of leukemia. He had no chance they said no child's ever survived it. He survived it, God put a gene in him that nobody in history has ever had at his age. They said he would be never grow beyond a toddler, intellect, and they've now labeled him literally as a genius, photographic memory. and then Tiz, you know, four times go home and die, and we're almost through. And so stand with Israel. It's I'll end it with this, and I know I've gone long. It's not a it's not a pastor
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (54:00)
No, you're welcome.
Pastor Larry Huch (54:01)
that says it, it's not a rabbi that says it, it's not a politician, it's Almighty God that says, When you bless Israel.
Watch me get involved with your life and bring the blessing. I know that God did not give my grandson cancer. God did not give Tiz cancer, but what the enemies meant for evil, God has turned it around and used it for good. And we're able to tell this story from the White House to the prisons. When you obey God's word and you stand with Israel, watch what God can do.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (54:37)
And may he continue to bless you in ample measure, you and your family and your holy work. Amen.
Pastor Larry Huch (54:45)
I've received that today.
Rabbi Daniel Lapin (54:48)
hope we'll be together. I can't wait for a chance for us to be together soon again, Pastor Larry. I hope we make that happen. God bless.
Pastor Larry Huch (54:56)
Let's do it. Love you guys.
